My First Blog Hop

This is the first time I have been involved in a blog hop and I really enjoy it. I started off at http://sassylilsketches.blogspot.com/2010/02/get-sassy-with-dirty-fitgirls-blog-hop.html and got my sketch. Next, I went to my friend Cristal's blog http://dirtyscraps.blogspot.com/ and picked up my theme. Finally, I went to Kelly's blog http://scrapfit.blogspot.com/ and got my final instructions. Here is my interpretation of the assignment!

The instructions at scrapfit.com said to use silver and ribbon. I actually used a silver ribbon. Here is a close up of the ribbon.

Febuary Challenges

I've been kinda busy lately just trying to figure out how to do a monochromatic layout over at http://scrapfit.blogspot.com/ At first, I thought it would be easy since my color choices were black, red, white or pink (okay, pink was never really an option for me!) and I do a lot of these colors because they are, opps were, Jay's college baseball colors. The problem came when I realized I'd never done a layout with just ONE of the colors!!! As always I grabbed black - nope didn't work. Then red - not really right. WHITE??? Well it took a while but I think I made the right choice. The white really makes the pictures pop and the mesh added some texture. I hope you enjoy my first monochromatic layout.
